| Notes | M. Ishaq Shor tied the knot with Inam Elahi Begum Daughter of Rafeeq Ahmed in Babary India on January 15, 1929. Elahi Begum always pampred all of her children like all mothers do but as i was the Eldest I always felt like the queen of Shor Regime. She was always busy either in brought up of her children or in hosting friends of lshaq Shor. He was often visited by many of his friends everyday and they used to sit for like hours and hours and as a traditional family there is an urge of Tea after every hour or so, but as i remember Inam elahi begum never ever felt tired and hosted every time with a wide smile on her face, as she enjoyed hosting people. As abba's whole life was occupied by his poetry, art, binot and other stuff, it was Amma who pampered us, taught us and educated all of us and made sure we stood on the highest standards of our morality and social norms. She was a women of true beliefs empowered with true vision of Islam. Ishaq Shor always regarded the loyalty and truthfulness of Inam elahi Begum as she was the most humble personality ever seen; She used to become friends with everyone agd was ideal for Ishag Shor as he was a socialite himself. Many poems of ishaq Shor described the qualities of her lovely wife and she became an inspiration for him, supporting him through everything in life, Abba g express his feeling about her in his poem "Inam say khatab" |
